I'll keep it short and sweet...nothing special about the place, kind of a poor mans five guys, but not even as good. Only really came here because it was next door to the bar I was at, better off trying other food options.

The place looked pretty clean. However the staff was not the nicest I would say. Kind of a 'let me take your order and go' kind of staff. Food took pretty long, even though I was the only one there. I came because it's close to my apartment. They ran out of sweet potato fries by 2pm. Burger was good though. They didn't have music playing or TVs on. It was kind of awkward.

Top Burger is one of those joints that I stumbled across based on proximity and proximity alone... The place is a bit rundown and the service was a bit spotty as well due to the fact that there was only one person working. Ordered a cheeseburger and fries and the burger itself was not half bad, somewhat similar to 5 guys in taste, ordering scheme and presentation. The fries on the other hand were terrible and extremely undercooked which was a bummer. Overall, the burger was good but the wait, cleanliness and fries subtracted 2 stars from this establishment. I can't say too many things about Top Burger, located in a nice spot in South Beach and a good place to grab a burger day or night. Service is good, I enjoy a sass but not rudeness and the lady taking orders was exactly that, she joked with the group but didn't go over the top with it. Burger is good, not the greatest but they give you a quality patty that is cooked well. A variety of free toppings to make the burger unique to your taste. End of the day worth a visit if you enjoy burgers and are generally running around the South Beach area.

Decided to skip all the burger places on and off Lincoln and Purdy that we normally walk to and go over to Washington and 7th to check out highest rated burger place on the east end of SoBe! Glad we did! Excellent burgers and fries and the chocolate shake was the best I've had in Miami! I normally take off a star when I see styrofoam but this place is too good! We will be back often!

This restaurant is just two blocks from Ocean drive. So of you and your family are enjoying a good day in South Beach and don't want to pay overpriced bad food on Ocean Drive (a fe places are good) then this is a great option. The pace is spacious and clean. Good beer options. Surprisingly good Burgers. Good value. Perry good value overall.

Three nights in a row David (the owner) has greeted me with a smile and served me an incredible burger, fries and shake for a VERY reasonable price. The ambiance of the place is "come on in, what can we do for you" neighborhood type place that I love. And David makes the best shakes in the world. Coming from New York where people are mostly rude and burgers come from chain restaurants, Top Burger is a very refreshing change. I enjoyed it so much I ate here three nights in a row before I had to leave. Any time I am in SOBE I will be visiting Top Burger and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking great food at the right price. Thanks Top Burger.

I'm having a bad night with my neighborhood eateries. What's happening with Top Burger? I've always had a good meal. Tonight, service was good, but meal, not so much. Veggie burger wasn't the norm. Asked for it on a salad, which they very nicely accommodated. But my burger may have been a Boca Burger, and to boot, it was lukewarm, stale, and cut up into little pieces placed atop the salad. What? The beer and beverage fridges were completely bare. Completely. Only Bud Light on tap, and not sure they actually had any. The other taps were bare. So why am I giving them two stars? Because despite the one star meal, they were simply nice. I fear they may not be lasting much longer on the corner location. I hope I'm wrong and that next time, they'll be back to the original, deficits burgers I could rely on.

If there was a rating LESS than 1 star that's what I would rate it! Ordered take out, my burger was disgusting, they charged me for my smoothie and never brought it. The deliver girl said she will be back for it. NEVER showed up. I called back a million times and they never answered Once! Ordered 2 shakes, both were watered down and had no flavor! No condiments Fries were burnt and soggy at the same time -____- This place SUUUUCKS!!!

I live in New Jersey and I come to south beach every 4 months! When you think of south beach you don't think about burgers until you come here! Tonight was my 3rd night and they did not disappoint! AWSOME burgers. Fresh meat and toppings. David hospitality is AWSOME! Makes you feel at home. The chef that's cooks the burgers.. Outstanding! I will brag about this place up north! Great job guys!

I came here for a nightcap with my sister the last night. I have been to the one in Downtown Miami many times, but the experience I had in SOBE was amazing. Since we were the only ones (it was well past 1:00am) we were able to have a conversation with one of the owners. The food: I ordered the cheeseburger with sautéed onions and mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and the Top Burger Sauce. Usually, when I get that combination the mushroom or onions are falling out. Yet, in this case it had the right amount that everything stayed in place as I bit into it. My sister had the grilled chicken. The chicken was nice and juicy not dry at all. She, also had lettuce tomatoes and sautéed onions and it all stayed in place too. Service: For a 'self service' place we had great costumer care. As the night progressed more people showed. Yet, the owner made sure everyone felt like they were the only ones there. He cleaned the tables and made sure all our needs were met. He was extremely generous to the high school students who came. The students were 'regulars' and he knew them by name. It is not often owners know their customers by name. Overall the experience was excellent. A must try!

Surprisingly cheap for SoBe, alas these are your run-of-the-mill bit-too-greasy burgers. Still, nice to have the option right on Washington. Restaurant has a very big seating/waiting area and looks clean enough. The menu options are simple and short.

This burger is average. No better than what I make at home. Pricey but I expect that now being a tourist here in sobe. No need to come back, the box has been checked. The manager was very nice though and they do make your burger to order so it will be slow but fresh! What I would tell mgmt is don't put a cold burger bun on top a freshly made burger and a toasted bottom bun, it kills it.

Service was a solid 5 stars, very nice staff and good options. The ordering and cooking process was quick and easy. The fries were very good, but the burger had much to be desired. Not sure I'd come here over five guys or some other local option. Personally I'll be at shake shack :)

My girlfriend and I stopped here after some sightseeing. The guys working were friendly, and the food came out within 10 minutes. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with jalapeño. It was perfectly cooked and what I loved most was that the bun was grilled. My girlfriend got a cheeseburger with the top burger sauce, and I have to say I loved the curry in it. I'd put it up there with in-n-out (my favorite burger joint).

You can't [redacted] without hitting a burger joint in the 305. At the time I discovered Top Burger, I wasn't spending too much time Downtown so when something new popped up on Washington, I was there -- ready, willing and able. It looks like much of the east side of South Beach was as well. What started as a pretty depressing spot to come eat, has turned into a pretty busy establishment, which is nice to see. There's a fair amount of real estate at this location, so it's nice to see it filling up. As with everything in life, things are relative. Given its location and surrounding competition, I am a fan of this Top Burger. Since moving away from Miami Beach, however, I haven't found myself compelled to return. That might say something. I'm also not much of a beef guy, despite enjoying burger spots. Typically, I get a turkey burger of some sort but there's none to be had here. The next best option (for me) is the fried chicken sandwich... because, fried. Or, excuse me, milanesa. Fancy. Top Burger lets you have it your way, so I usually top that bad boy with cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and bbq sauce. Add a side of fries and you're in greasy fast food heaven. The tastes like what you'd expect. This is in no way an insult. It's good. It's just what you expect... and in a city that prides itself on bad surprises, getting what you expect is a check in the plus column. If you're dining in, take advantage of the beer list and welcoming service. The manager is (I think) from NYC and he takes customer care seriously. On the beach, that should be enough to make you want to stop by.

Tired and unimpressed by the neighborhood eats, we strolled in here. From the get go our order taker was friendly, helpful and suggestive. Later to find out David was the owner. We sat through our entire yummy burger meal and chatted with him on a bunch of topics. He knows this city well. Also a NYC native, we hit it off immediately. Get your burgers here! They are amazing and the fries are perfect. My only regret was not getting a shake. But I'll be back. Good luck David, you're gonna do well!

Visiting Miami, got a cool $20 deal on groupon which gave $40credit. Top burger is just 2 blocks from the beach. Our burgers were delish, perfectly seasoned! Both regular and sweet potato fries are really good. If I lived in Miami this would be my burger spot, I bet it's really cool for game nights there's lots of flat screen tv's.

Came on my last night here in Miami; after craving a burger I decided to Yelp "Best Burger" and this place came up. It was truly quiet + peaceful. We met one of the owner and he was GREAT! The absolute WORST burger I've ever had. The bun was BURNT on one side and completely cold on the other. The part that sucks so bad is that I walked to the store to pick up my food. It wasn't until I got all the way back home and was starving after a 20 minute wait that saw that. I had to eat the terrible burger without the bun. I am actually offended that I was served that. I will NEVER go back and as a SOBE local I will never recommend.

The burgers were good but I'm not a big fan of the diced tomatoes. I'd rather have a tomato slice because it is less sloppy, the diced tomatoes just fall out everywhere and make the bun soggy. There was a slight delay because of the shake. They can only make 3 at a time and there were a few orders. The other yelper's comment about only one side of the bun being toasted and the other cold is true- and it's strange. Toast both halves of the bun. I will come back, the burgers were good and it's a better option than Johnny Rockets on Ocean Dr.

I wasn't really expecting much when I came upon this burger joint on Washington in SOBE. I was very surprised with the quality of the meat used in the burgers. It tasted like it was made fresh that day, and not pre-packaged frozen crap. All the ingredients tasted fresh and on point. The hand cut fries taste like real potatoes, nothing artificial in there. My milkshake was delishious and made to perfection. I didn't get a chance to try the hot dogs, but they looked pretty good as well. All in all, this was a great little spot for a quick lunch or to grab a casual bite to eat with friends. I would definitely eat here again when I'm in the area

I stopped in today and was warmly welcomed by the manager/owner. He thanked me for coming in to give their food a try and took my order. He chatted with me a bit more, was really friendly and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (I was really hungry) with their special sauce, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and caramelized onions. It was DELICIOUS!! Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of sauce, lettuce was fresh, and the caramelized onions added a nice flavor. It was reasonably priced and took less than 10 min for take out. The cook who brought me the bag was also really friendly and also thanked me for coming in.

I live and work on the beach. The first time I came in was after a particular late and rainy night at work. I was greeted warmly by the cashier/manager on duty. There were a few other tables in the restaurant. I ordered a simple cheese and bacon burger. It came out relatively fast (considering that unlike McDonalds, they make to order every order. You can't expect "fast" food from a quality restaurant). The burger was piping hot covered in bubbly cheese and fresh ingredients. I was very satisfied. Every since that time, I've been attending regularly. The food is always delicious, workers always friendly, and prices always affordable. It's nice to be recognized when I walk in & I appreciate a restaurant that takes the time to get to know its patrons. Bravo!

The best burger I have ever had. No really, the meat didn't have that weird aftertaste and the patty was thick enough. Also I asked for all the toppings on it and the mushrooms where so good, everything was fresh. I can't wait to go back. Forget Shake Shack and definitely forget 5 Guys. I would never go anywhere else. Can't wait to try everything else on their menu. And the people that work there are very friendly. Met one of the owners and he was telling me how he is still thinking of ways to improve the place. That's amazing! People! Support local shops! Not food chains!

I stopped by last Saturday night with a large group of friends. We were looking for a spot big enough that we could all watch the MMA fights (seated together). The staff was super accommodating, putting the fights on for us & even turning the tv so we could see it better. Everyone there was very friendly & didn't mind that we took up their tables for several hours. The food: I was expecting just a so so burger, much like the competitors in the area. I have to add the disclaimer that I'm a really picky eater. It was hands down the BEST burger I've ever had. I used to like 8oz Burger Bar (which closed) and Top Burger even blew them away. To be honest, fries weren't my favorite but after that burger, who cares! My friends had various burgers & chicken sandwiches as well & thought they were great too. This is now my new hang-out to watch sporting events. I have ordered from them twice this week & the delivery was quick & the food fresh. It's now my son's favorite burger joint now too. I don't write many reviews - only when a place either blows me away or is really bad. This place is awesome & I highly recommend it!

3 stars is "a-ok". So for $11 a 10oz burger that's soso (dry) with a fountain drink, it isn't that. No mayo meant yes mayo, skimpy toppings so had to ask for more. It wasn't extra. As I did, I suggest getting the house burger sauce on the side to see if you like it. Regular burger is only 5 ounces; you'd have to ask to find this out. Pepsi products. Goodness: the bun, and that there are bathrooms, that's the upside. Can try Johnny Rockets or 5 guys nearby but may be worse.. Idk

I'm actually eating here right now as we speak and it's delish! I ordered a cheeseburger with French fries and It actually tastes very similar to five guys but better in my opinion! Not expensive at all and pretty quick! So if you're craving something yummy, quick and cheap this place is perfect!

My sister chose this spot, for an after-beach meal! I was shocked she chose a burger place. But we both got burgers with Top Burger sauce (which is a bit spicy, but yummy), it was delicious! I wasn't a fan of the fries, but the burger was phenomenal! I will come back when I'm in the area!!

Service was fast and friendly. Burger was good, but nothing to write home about. Asked for sweet potatoes since they were on the menu, waitress said "no sweet potato fries today". Got regular fries, and they were not good (actual cut potatoes, VERY greasy, not seasoned - just tasted like oil/grease). 3 of the 8 pops were out (the more popular ones). They do not take any type of debit or credit cards so come with cash.

Burger: The actual meat was alright but the other toppings. Diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce are not the best on burgers because they fall out and make a mess. Not a big deal though. Fries: OK. Nothing to write home about. Oreo Milkshake: Tasted like just milk pretty much. This sucks because you'll pay $4 for a cup of slightly sweetened milk. I came home with most of it and a roommate tried it and said it tasted like just milk. Soda: All the flavors were watered down/tasted like they needed more syrup. Beer: They advertised that this location had beer but they had ZERO. For 2 bacon cheeseburgers, 2 fountain sodas, 1 order of french fries, and 1 milkshake my total before tax was $24.04. At this point, I'd give the place 3 stars. I was charged $2.16 in tax which is 9% of my total. Sales tax here is 7%. What gives? Isn't this illegal? Meh food, diluted drinks, and overcharged for sales tax = 1 star. I'm a SoBe local and I figured I'd try the place out and hopefully find a new favorite burger place. Nope.

Visiting Miami and while on Washington saw this place. We we're pleasantly surprised. I had the cheese burger with mushrooms and caramelized onions and fresh cut fries. It was awesome! David was very helpful as well. Will definitely go back before I head back home. It's a must if you like a great hamburger

My experience with the food was similar to the other underwhelming experiences posted here. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries for takeout, since I live blocks away and wanted to know firsthand if I can recommend this place. The medium burger was a very well done mush, and the fries extremely salty with lots of black crisps that were not edible. I won't be recommending to friends, but I wonder if the cook had a bad night. Still, at $12 after tax (with no drink) I expected MUCH better from a place called Top Burger since there are so many burger joints (and non-joints that also serve burgers). I must say, the staff seemed friendly and the place is nice (should be since it's new). But the food hurt my stomach and I feel like they weren't serious about making a "top" burger, on that particular night anyway.

I send friends and colleagues daily to this great addition to the South Beach food scene and always to rave reviews. The service and the food are excellent! My favorites are Mediterranean salad topped with a burger and crispy chicken sandwich! And the fries! Wow!! Super-fresh! I really wanted to like their burgers since I live a block away. I finally won't tonight and was very excited after all the good reviews. Me and my friend took a bite of our burgers and looked at each other. We both said something derogatory at the same time. The bread was mushy, the bacon was extremely salty, the cheese was a messy paste that looked awful. The beef itself was not great either. Overall this is probably the worst burger I've ever had! Wish I would have taken a picture to show just how bad it was. I don't like to throw food away but I couldn't eat that burger! I don't think I've ever said those words before. My friend ate hers but half way said I can't wait for this to be over. Don't even bother ordering the special sauce, it was awful as well. It was a chipotle tasting, not so great mayo. Do yourself a favor and skip it!

NOT RECOMMENDED! The restrooms first of all had no toilet paper and while one of the toilets were running with water the other had a bloody pad. I went to the employee restroom and there was NO HAND SOAP not even a dispenser. Then the guy who claimed to be the Chef was eating while he was cooking and did NOT change his gloves and then his girlfriend was crying so he was trying to comfort her right there in the kitchen and neither one of them had hair nets and while he was hugging her he still had his gloves on and returned to cooking the food without changing his gloves nor washing his hands. When I brought it to his attention he tried to make a point while having his hands on his hips still with the same gloves on. This place is just gross.

TOP BURGER??? Come on man...with a name like that you would expect something better than decent. Not so. Burger was ok but then when you pay $10 for a cheeseburger and fries, it kind leaves you underwhelmed. Patty was way overcooked and fries are ok. I don't like to write bad reviews about small businesses but these guys have to kick it up a notch or two to stay in business long.
